Target Information
TBK1 (TANK-binding kinase 1) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the IKK family, involved in NF-κB activation and IRF3 signaling. It plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation during immune and inflammatory responses. TBK1 phosphorylates IKKβ, leading to NF-κB activation and is activated by growth factors and PMA. It functions upstream of NIK and the IKK complex and is essential for embryonic liver protection from apoptosis.
