Product Specific Information

The Avas12a1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Flk-1 (VEGFR2), a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in vascular endothelial tissue development. It is expressed on endothelial cells during embryonic stages and some adult tissues.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on bEND3 endothelial cell line; use ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Titrate for optimal performance.

Alexa Fluor™ 700 emits at 723 nm and is excited by the red laser (633 nm). Recommended optical setup: 685 LP mirror, 710/20 filter.
Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 723 nm; Laser: Red Laser.

Target Information

KDR (FLK1, VEGFR2) is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase that binds vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) with high affinity. It is expressed early by endothelial cell precursors and plays a key role in vascular development.
Its signaling is regulated by multiple factors including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin αVβ3, and T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase.
Mutations in FLK1 (VEGFR2) are associated with infantile capillary hemangiomas.
