Target Information
Arginase-1 (Arg1)은 L-arginine을 urea와 L-ornithine으로 전환하는 35 kDa 효소로, 요소 회로의 마지막 단계를 담당합니다. 이 과정에서 생성된 polyamine은 세포 증식 및 단백질 분해로 인한 독소 제거에 중요합니다.
Arginase 1은 nitric oxide synthase의 기질을 분해하여 NO 생성을 억제합니다.
인간과 마우스 모두에서 간, 호중구, MDSC, 신경 줄기세포 등에 발현되며, 마우스에서는 대체 활성화 대식세포(M2a)의 특징적 표지로 알려져 있습니다.
Arginase-1은 종양 침윤성 골수세포에서 발현될 수 있으며, 대부분의 간세포암에서 발견됩니다.
Arginase 1 결함은 고암모니아혈증을 특징으로 하는 상염색체 열성 질환인 argininemia의 원인입니다.
