Target Information
This gene encodes a serine/threonine phosphatase that belongs to the protein phosphatase catalytic subunit family. These proteins participate in pathways regulated by reversible phosphorylation at serine and threonine residues, many of which are involved in cell growth and differentiation. The encoded protein is implicated in signaling pathways responsive to hormones or cellular stress, and elevated levels may be associated with breast cancer development.
