PKM2 (Pyruvate Kinase M2)는 피루브산과 ATP로부터 인산화포스포에놀피루브산을 생성하는 효소입니다.
이 단백질은 갑상선 호르몬과 상호작용하여 세포 대사 조절에 관여할 수 있으며, Opa 단백질과 결합하여 세균 부착 및 침입 과정에도 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
세 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사 변이가 보고되어 있으며, 두 가지 서로 다른 이소폼을 암호화합니다.
