Product Specific Information
- For Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
Decorin is a member of the small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) family along with biglycan.
It is found in the interterritorial region of cartilage and interacts with collagen and other matrix proteins to regulate the cartilaginous matrix.
Decorin interacts with fibronectin, thrombospondin, C1q, EGFR, and TGF-β, and may play a role in the chondrocyte cell cycle.
The decorin neoepitope fragment (sequence: PKTLQE) is generated by MMP-3 or ADAMTS-4 cleavage at Glu154–Leu155 of the decorin core protein.
