이 수용체는 단일 키나제 도메인과 시스테인 풍부 영역, 두 개의 fibronectin type III 반복 서열을 포함하는 세포외 영역을 가집니다.
Ephrin 수용체는 ephrin-A 및 ephrin-B 리간드에 대한 결합 친화도에 따라 두 그룹으로 구분되며, EphA4 단백질은 ephrin-A 리간드와 결합합니다.
