For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The SMAD1 gene encodes a member of the SMAD protein family, which are signal transducers and transcriptional modulators involved in multiple signaling pathways. SMAD1 mediates bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signals that regulate cell growth, apoptosis, morphogenesis, development, and immune responses.
Upon BMP ligand stimulation, SMAD1 is phosphorylated and forms a complex with SMAD4, enabling transcriptional regulation. It is also targeted by SMAD-specific E3 ubiquitin ligases (SMURF1, SMURF2) for ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been observed.
