Target Information
BAP31 (B-Cell Receptor Associated Protein, 31-kDa)는 소포체 막을 여러 번 관통하는 단백질로, BAP29와 함께 호모 및 헤테로 올리고머를 형성하며, BCL-2/BCL-XL 관련 단백질로서 세포 사멸 조절에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다.
BAP31의 C-말단 도메인에는 프로그램된 세포 사멸 경로의 개시자 카스파아제(Caspase) 1 및 8의 인식 부위가 두 개 존재합니다.
이 단백질은 선택된 단백질의 골지체 이동에 관여하며, CFTR 발현 조절에도 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
따라서 BAP31 발현 또는 기능 조절은 낭포성 섬유증에서 염화이온 채널 결함을 우회하는 잠재적 접근법으로 연구되고 있습니다.
