Target Information
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes encoding secreted signaling proteins involved in oncogenesis and developmental processes such as regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis.
The WNT10B gene may be involved in breast cancer, acting as a molecular switch governing adipogenesis.
This protein is 96% identical to the mouse Wnt10b protein at the amino acid level and is clustered with WNT1 in the chromosome 12q13 region.
