Target Information
eIF4A3 is a member of the DEAD box protein family, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD). These proteins are putative RNA helicases involved in cellular processes such as translation initiation, RNA splicing, and ribosome assembly. eIF4A3 functions as a nuclear matrix protein and shares high sequence similarity with eIF4AI and eIF4AII, other members of the DEAD box family. These proteins are implicated in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division.
