For maximum recovery, spin prior to use. Aliquots of 5 µg, 10 µg, and 20 µg sizes are not recommended; use material in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, reduce freeze/thaw cycles by preparing aliquots (not below 20 µL). Do not store kinase diluted. When properly stored at -80°C, product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase.

Target Information

AMPK (A1/B2/G1) is a member of the AMPK family, heterotrimeric proteins consisting of an alpha catalytic subunit and non-catalytic beta and gamma subunits. AMPKs are key energy-sensing enzymes that monitor cellular energy status, particularly under stress. They regulate fatty acid and cholesterol synthesis by controlling rate-limiting enzymes such as acetyl-CoA carboxylase and HMG-CoA reductase. The beta subunit may positively regulate AMPK activity and is highly expressed in skeletal muscle.
