Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with mouse, human, zebrafish, bovine, canine, chicken, guinea pig, and non-human primate based on 100% sequence homology.
In Western blot, this antibody is specific for the ~25 kDa SNAP25 protein.
Target Information
SNAP25 is a t-SNARE involved in the molecular regulation of neurotransmitter release. It may play a role in synaptic function of specific neuronal systems. SNAP25 associates with proteins involved in vesicle docking and membrane fusion and regulates plasma membrane recycling through its interaction with CENPF. Mutations in the gene can result in myasthenic syndrome.
