Product Specific Information
This product contains purified recombinant human Haptoglobin b-Chain protein with an N-terminal hexahistidine tag.
It may be used as a positive control in various immunological assays.
Target Information
The alpha (HBA) and beta (HBB) loci determine the structure of the two types of polypeptide chains in adult hemoglobin, Hb A.
Normal adult hemoglobin consists of two alpha and two beta chains.
Mutations in beta globin cause sickle cell anemia.
Absence of beta chain results in beta-zero-thalassemia, while reduced beta globin leads to beta-plus-thalassemia.
The gene order in the beta-globin cluster is 5′-epsilon-gamma-G-gamma-A-delta-beta-3′.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
