Target Information
Prolactin (PRL)은 뇌하수체 호르몬으로, 유즙 생성 자극, 염분 및 수분 조절, 성장, 발달 및 생식에 관여합니다. PRL은 세포막에 위치한 prolactin receptor(PRLR)에 결합하여 신호전달 경로를 시작합니다. PRLR은 cytokine receptor 계열에 속하며, 조직 및 종에 따라 약 40~100 kDa 크기의 다양한 형태(짧은형, 긴형)가 존재합니다. 이 수용체는 prolactin 결합 부위를 포함한 5개의 cysteine 잔기를 가진 세포외 영역, 단일 막관통 영역, 그리고 세포내 영역으로 구성되어 있으며, 세포내 영역의 길이는 리간드 결합과 세포 기능 조절에 영향을 미칩니다.
