Target Information
GAPDH (Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase)는 해당과정(glycolysis)에 관여하는 촉매 효소로, NADPH 존재하에 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate를 glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate로 환원시키는 반응을 수행합니다. GAPDH는 대부분의 조직에서 높은 수준으로 발현되며, glycolysis 외에도 DNA 복제, 수리, RNA 수출, 막 융합, 미세소관 결합 등 다양한 세포 기능에 관여합니다. 또한 신경퇴행성 질환 및 암세포에서 유전자 발현 조절과 세포사멸(apoptosis)에 관련된 역할을 하는 것으로 보고되었습니다. GAPDH는 Alzheimer’s disease 및 Huntington’s disease 관련 단백질과 상호작용하며, actin 및 tubulin과의 결합도 보고되었습니다.
