Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Ephrin-B2 is observed.
- Less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Ephrin-A4, mouse Ephrin-A2, mouse Ephrin-A1, human Ephrin-B3, mouse Ephrin-B1, human Ephrin-A3, human Ephrin-A5, and mouse Ephrin-A4 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the ephrin (EPH) family. The ephrins and EPH-related receptors comprise the largest subfamily of receptor protein-tyrosine kinases and are implicated in mediating developmental events, especially in the nervous system and in erythropoiesis.
Based on their structures and sequence relationships, ephrins are divided into two classes:
- Ephrin-A (EFNA): Anchored to the membrane by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol linkage
- Ephrin-B (EFNB): Transmembrane proteins
This gene encodes an EFNB class ephrin that binds to the EPHB4 and EPHA3 receptors.
