Target Information
RAB21은 Ras superfamily에 속하는 소형 GTP 결합 단백질 유전자 아형으로, 세포 내 소포 수송 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 비편극화 Caco-2 세포에서는 일반적인 소포체(ER) 유사 분포를 보이며, 편극화된 세포에서는 apical vesicle에 위치합니다. RAB21은 integrin 서브유닛과 결합하여 RAB5/RAB21 endosome을 통한 수용체의 세포 내 진입에 관여합니다. 또한 GTPase-activating protein p120RasGAP은 endocytosed integrin의 재순환을 조절하여 세포 이동성을 조절하는데, 이는 RAB21과 integrin α-tail 결합 부위에서 경쟁적으로 작용함으로써 이루어집니다.
