Target Information
Ribosomes are organelles that catalyze protein synthesis and consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. These subunits are composed of four RNA species and approximately 80 distinct proteins.
The RPL4 gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is part of the 60S subunit and belongs to the L4E family. The protein is localized in the cytoplasm. Multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene are dispersed throughout the genome.
