MASTL (microtubule associated serine/threonine kinase-like)는 MAST family 및 AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase 그룹에 속합니다.
MASTL은 DNA 손상 후 세포주기 재진입과 유사분열 진행을 촉진하며, PP2A/B55 delta 억제를 통해 염색체 응축 및 분리 등 유사분열 과정에 관여합니다.
MASTL 과발현은 암 진행, 낮은 생존율, 종양 재발과 관련이 있으며, 해당 유전자 돌연변이는 상염색체 우성 혈소판감소증(Thrombocytopenia-2)과 연관되어 있습니다.
