Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey and Horse.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- High specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
ULBP1 is a ligand for the NKG2D receptor, along with ULBP2 and ULBP3. ULBPs activate multiple signaling pathways in primary NK cells, leading to cytokine and chemokine production.
Binding of ULBP ligands to NKG2D induces calcium mobilization and activation of JAK2, STAT5, ERK, and PI3K/Akt pathways.
In CMV-infected cells, ULBP1 interacts with soluble CMV glycoprotein UL16, which blocks its interaction with NKG2D and retains ULBP1 in the ER and cis-Golgi, preventing its expression on the cell surface. This mechanism allows CMV-infected cells to evade immune detection.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
