Product Specific Information

This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Pig, and Horse.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed, followed by screening to select optimal clones for production.

Advantages include:

  • Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to the extensive rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

FGR is a SRC-related kinase expressed in hematopoietic cells. It functions within multiple signaling pathways, including integrin and chemokine/cytokine receptor pathways. The protein features:

  • N-terminal myristylation and palmitoylation sites
  • PTK, SH2, and SH3 domains for protein-protein interactions

FGR localizes to plasma membrane ruffles and acts as a negative regulator of cell migration and adhesion via the beta-2 integrin signaling pathway. Epstein-Barr virus infection can lead to overexpression of this protein.
