Target Information
Component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase complex, involved in transcriptional activation of select genes by acetylation of nucleosomal histones H4 and H2A. This modification may alter nucleosome–DNA interactions and promote binding of modified histones with transcriptional regulators. EP400 may be required for activation of E2F1 and MYC target genes during cellular proliferation, and may regulate ZNF42 transcription activity.
