Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

Nuclear pore complexes regulate macromolecule transport between the nucleus and cytoplasm and consist of at least 100 polypeptide subunits, many belonging to the nucleoporin family.
Nucleoporins are glycoproteins found in nuclear pores and contain characteristic pentapeptide XFXFG repeats and O-linked N-acetylglucosamine residues oriented toward the cytoplasm.
The NUP153 protein has three distinct domains:

1. N-terminal region with pore targeting and RNA-binding domains
2. Central region containing multiple zinc finger motifs
3. C-terminal region with multiple XFXFG repeats

Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants of this gene.
