For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

ASL encodes a member of the lyase 1 family. The protein forms a cytosolic homotetramer and catalyzes the reversible hydrolytic cleavage of argininosuccinate into arginine and fumarate, a key step in the liver for detoxifying ammonia via the urea cycle.
Mutations in ASL cause argininosuccinic aciduria, an autosomal recessive disorder. A nontranscribed pseudogene is located on chromosome 22, and alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
