이 유전자는 cleavage stimulation factor (CSTF)의 세 개 소단위 중 하나를 암호화합니다. CSTF는 pre-mRNA의 polyadenylation과 3′ 말단 절단에 관여합니다. 이 단백질은 G 단백질 β 소단위와 유사한 transducin-like 반복 서열을 포함하며, 서로 다른 5′ UTR을 가진 여러 전사 변이가 보고되었습니다.
