Anaplastic Lymphoma Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (ALK)는 인슐린 수용체 초가족에 속하며, 뇌 발달에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
ALK 유전자 변이, 재배열, 증폭은 다양한 종양(Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma, Neuroblastoma, Non-small Cell Lung Cancer 등)에서 발견됩니다.
가장 흔한 유전적 변화는 염색체 재배열로, ALK 유전자와 Nucleophosmin(NPM) 유전자가 융합되어 NPM-ALK 융합 유전자를 형성합니다.
이 융합 단백질은 종양 형성에 관여하며, ALK는 LTK와 가장 높은 서열 유사성을 보입니다.
ALK는 신경계 내 특정 뉴런에 영향을 미치며 뇌 발달에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
