Target Information
CA125 determinant is present on a high molecular weight, mucin-like glycoprotein. It is expressed in amnion and derivatives of coelomic and mullerian epithelium including pleura, pericardium, and peritoneum. In adult tissues, expression occurs in epithelial cells of the fallopian tube, endometrium, endocervix, pancreas, colon, gall bladder, stomach, kidney, apocrine sweat gland, and mammary gland. It is also found in mesothelial cells and ovarian tumors of serous, endometrioid, or clear cell types, as well as adenocarcinomas of mullerian type.
