Definition of Activity

One unit of PDI is defined as the amount required to recover one RNase A unit from reduced bovine RNase A at 25°C in 15 minutes at pH 7.5.
One RNase A unit is defined as the amount required for hydrolysis of cCMP (cytidine 2' : 3'-cyclic monophosphate) resulting in an increase of 0.001 absorbance unit at 284 nm per minute at 25°C and pH 7.5.
