Target Information
ADRBK1 (GRK2) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in phosphorylation of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). GRK2 (83 kDa) is ubiquitously expressed in mammals and regulates GPCR internalization and signaling via the Ras-Raf-ERK1&2 pathway. GRK2 activity is modulated by phosphorylation (PKC, Src, ERK1&2) and protein interactions, with ERK-mediated phosphorylation at serine 670 serving as a negative feedback mechanism.
