Target Information
PLCL1 is involved in an inositol phospholipid-based intracellular signaling cascade. It shows no PLC activity to phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate and phosphatidylinositol. It acts as a component in the phospho-dependent endocytosis process of GABA A receptor, regulating receptor turnover and contributing to maintenance of GABA-mediated synaptic inhibition. Aberrant expression may contribute to lung carcinoma progression. Functions as an inhibitor of PPP1C.
