Target Information
GOLPH1, also known as GCP60, is a Golgi protein that interacts with the integral membrane protein giantin and plays a role in maintaining Golgi structure.
It also interacts with Golgin-160, which can be cleaved by caspases-2, -3, and -7, leading to nuclear localization of Golgin-160 fragments.
GOLPH1 interaction with these fragments is regulated by the oxidation state of Cys-463, indicating that Golgi fragmentation and reconstitution may regulate Numb signaling and couple cell fate with cell cycle progression.
