PDGFRA (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor Receptor Alpha)는 세포 표면 수용체 티로신 키나아제로, 혈소판 유래 성장 인자(platelet-derived growth factor) 패밀리의 구성원과 결합합니다. 이러한 성장 인자들은 중간엽 기원의 세포에 대한 분열 촉진 인자로 작용합니다. 결합된 성장 인자의 종류에 따라 수용체는 동종이합체(homodimer) 또는 이종이합체(heterodimer)를 형성하며, PDGFRA와 PDGFRB의 조합으로 구성될 수 있습니다. 생쥐 모델 연구에서 PDGFRA의 결손은 치명적이며, 이 수용체의 발현은 신장 발달에 특히 중요함이 밝혀졌습니다.
