This antibody detects endogenous levels of total SRPK2.
Target Information
SRPK2, along with SRPK1, is a cellular protein kinase likely mediating HBV core protein phosphorylation during viral infection, representing a potential therapeutic target in HBV infection.
It promotes neuronal apoptosis by up-regulating cyclin-D1 (CCND1) expression through phosphorylation of SRSF2, which suppresses p53/TP53 phosphorylation, thereby relieving its repressive effect on cyclin-D1.
SRPK2 phosphorylates ACIN1, redistributing it from nuclear speckles to the nucleoplasm, leading to cyclin A1 up-regulation.
It plays an essential role in spliceosomal B complex formation via phosphorylation of DDX23/PRP28 and negatively regulates HBV replication by reducing pregenomic RNA (pgRNA) packaging efficiency without affecting viral core particle formation.
