Target Information
Lnx1 (Ligand of Numb Protein X 1) protein is encoded by the Lnx1 gene located on chromosome 4 in humans and is also known as PDZRN2 (PDZ domain-containing RING finger 2).
Through its RING finger and PDZ domains, Lnx1 forms oligomers and interacts with target proteins such as JAM4 to form multiprotein complexes.
Lnx1 functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase and contains NPXY motifs that bind to the Phosphotyrosine binding domain (PTB) on Numb protein.
This interaction mediates ubiquitination of Numb, preventing proteasomal degradation of the Notch intracellular domain (NICD) and positively regulating the Notch signaling pathway.
