Target Information
Profilin은 세포 내에서 신호 전달 경로와 액틴 필라멘트 역학에 관여하는 소형(12–15 kDa) 단백질로, phosphoinositides 및 poly-L-proline과 결합합니다.
두 가지 형태의 mammalian profilin이 존재하며, Profilin I은 대부분의 조직에서 높게 발현되는 반면, Profilin II는 주로 뇌에서 발현되고 근육, 자궁, 신장에서는 낮은 수준으로 나타납니다.
Profilin은 주로 세포질에 존재하며, 세포막의 선단부와 돌출막 등 역동적인 막 영역에서 높은 농도로 발견됩니다.
