Target Information
Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)는 c-Met 수용체와 결합하여 티로신 키나아제 신호전달 경로를 활성화함으로써 세포 성장, 이동, 형태형성을 조절합니다.
HGF는 주로 상피세포 기원의 세포에서 다기능성 사이토카인으로 작용하며, 혈관신생, 종양형성, 조직재생에 중심적 역할을 합니다.
비활성 단일 폴리펩타이드로 분비되어 세린 프로테아제에 의해 α-사슬(69 kDa)과 β-사슬(34 kDa)로 절단되어 활성형 이합체가 형성됩니다.
이 단백질은 S1 peptidase 계열의 plasminogen 하위군에 속하지만, 프로테아제 활성은 없습니다.
