Target Information
SHBG (Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin)은 간에서 분비되는 혈장 단백질로, 스테로이드 반응 조절에 관여합니다. SHBG는 안드로겐과 에스트로겐을 운반하며, 동일하거나 거의 동일한 단량체로 구성된 이합체 형태로 각 스테로이드 분자에 결합합니다. 낮은 혈장 SHBG 수치는 비만, 복부 지방, 대사 증후군과 관련이 있으며 제2형 당뇨병 발생을 예측합니다. 또한 이 유전자의 다형성은 다낭성 난소 증후군 및 제2형 당뇨병과 연관되어 있습니다.
