세포 내 위치 (Cellular Localization)
- Cell membrane: Single-pass type I membrane protein. On growth hormone binding, GHR is ubiquitinated, internalized, down-regulated, and transported into a degradative or non-degradative pathway.
- Isoform 2: Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Remains fixed to the cell membrane and is not internalized.
- Growth hormone-binding protein: Secreted; complexed to a substantial fraction of circulating GH.
배경 (Background)
이 유전자는 성장호르몬의 수용체로 작용하는 type I cytokine receptor family의 구성원입니다. 성장호르몬 결합 시 수용체 이합체화(dimerization)를 유도하며, 세포 내·외 신호전달 경로를 활성화하여 성장 반응을 유도합니다.
이 유전자의 돌연변이는 Laron syndrome (성장호르몬 불감증 증후군)과 관련이 있으며, 인간과 토끼에서는 GHBP가 성숙한 GHR 단백질의 세포외 리간드 결합 도메인 절단으로 생성됩니다.
