Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of NEK2 only when phosphorylated at Ser171.
Target Information
NEK2 is a serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in cell cycle regulation and essential for accurate chromosome segregation. It is primarily localized in the centrosome. During the G1 phase, NEK2 is undetectable, but its expression increases during the S phase and peaks in late G2 phase. The gene produces multiple isoforms through alternative splicing and is associated with diseases such as Retinitis Pigmentosa 67.
