Bcl-6 proto-oncogene product는 Kruppel-type zinc-finger 단백질로, 주로 정상 생식 중심 B 세포와 관련 림프종에서 발현됩니다.
Bcl-6는 비호지킨 림프종에서 3q27 염색체 재배열에 관여하며, 확산성 대형 B 세포 림프종의 약 33–45%에서 Bcl-6 재배열이 검출되었습니다.
면역조직화학적으로는 여포성 림프종, 확산성 대형 B 세포 림프종, 버킷 림프종, 결절성 림프구 우세 호지킨병 등에서 Bcl-6 단백질이 검출됩니다.
