Product Specific Information

TCR1055 targets TCR Delta TCS1 in FACS, IHC(F), IP, and TCA applications and shows reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen is human TCR Vdelta1-Jdelta1.
TCR1055 detects TCR Delta TCS1, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 17 kDa.

Target Information

T cell receptors (TCR) are critical for distinguishing foreign from self-peptides presented by MHC class II molecules, enabling effective adaptive immune responses.
Recognition of self-peptides by TCRs is linked to autoimmune diseases, while mutant self-peptides are associated with tumors.
Superantigen engagement of TCRs can lead to toxic shock syndrome.
Autoantibodies to Vβ segments of TCRs have been found in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients, potentially serving as a compensatory immune mechanism.

Most human T cells express TCR αβ and either CD4 or CD8 (single positive, SP).
A small subset lacks both CD4 and CD8 (double negative, DN), which may increase in autoimmune or immunodeficiency conditions.
γδ T cells, primarily located in epithelial tissues, exhibit limited TCR diversity and distinct antigen recognition patterns.
Certain γδ T cell subsets demonstrate antitumor and immunoregulatory activities.
