Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge if solution is not clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid; dilute only prior to immediate use.
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-rabbit serum, purified and partially purified Luciferase (Photobacterium fischerii).
- Cross-reactivity against Luciferase from other tissues or species may occur but has not been specifically determined.
Target Information
Luciferase produces green light with a wavelength of 562 nm.
It catalyzes the reaction:
D-firefly luciferin + O₂ + ATP → firefly oxyluciferin + CO₂ + AMP + diphosphate + light.
