Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below.
- Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge if solution is not clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid; dilute only prior to immediate use.
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis shows a single precipitin arc against anti-rabbit serum and purified Carbonic Anhydrase II [Human Erythrocytes].
- Cross-reactivity with Carbonic Anhydrase II from other species may occur but has not been specifically determined.
Target Information
CA2 is one of several isozymes of carbonic anhydrase, which catalyzes reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. Defects in this enzyme are associated with osteopetrosis and renal tubular acidosis.
