Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an essential cellular process for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation.
Ubiquitination involves three classes of enzymes:
- Ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1s)
- Ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s)
- Ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3s)
This gene encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family.
The encoded protein shares 100% sequence identity with the mouse counterpart and is ubiquitously expressed, with high expression in adult muscle.
Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
