Target Information
Sox 유전자는 포유류의 성 결정 유전자 SRY와 관련된 유전자군으로, HMG-box 도메인을 포함하여 DNA 결합 활성을 가진 전사 조절 인자를 암호화합니다. Sox 유전자는 발생 과정에서 세포 운명 결정과 다양한 발달 과정의 조절에 관여하며, 최소 40개 이상의 좌위에서 다양한 동물 계통으로 빠르게 분화되었습니다. 현재 약 30개의 Sox 유전자가 확인되었으며, 진화적으로 보존되어 동물 발달의 핵심적인 역할을 합니다. 일부는 성 역전 등 인간 질환과도 관련이 있습니다.
