Product Specific Information

MA5-15630 targets CD19 in indirect ELISA, FACS, IF, and ICC applications, showing reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human CD19 expressed in E. coli.
MA5-15630 detects CD19, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 61 kDa.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells defined by kappa or lambda light chain expression. CD19 is also found on certain myeloid leukemia cells, particularly of monocytic lineage.

Studies have shown CD19 as the earliest and broadest B cell–restricted antigen, functioning as a key regulator of normal and malignant B cell proliferation. It serves as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR) and can also signal independently of BCR co-ligation. Mutations in the CD19 gene cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
