Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Accurate initiation of translation in eukaryotes requires multiple initiation factors. In prokaryotes, only three initiation factors (IF1, IF2, IF3) are present. In eukaryotes, the homologs of IF1 and IF2 are eIF1A and eIF5B, respectively. eIF1A and eIF5B interact on the ribosome with other initiation factors and GTP to position the initiation methionine tRNA on the start codon of the mRNA, ensuring accurate translation initiation.
