Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
MCL1 (Myeloid cell leukemia-1) is a member of the Bcl-2 family involved in cell survival and differentiation. Isoform 1 inhibits apoptosis, while isoform 2 promotes it.
MCL1 expression increases in response to DNA damage and supports cell viability under apoptotic conditions. It may neutralize pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members such as Bim or Bak.
MCL1 is essential for embryogenesis and lymphocyte development, existing as two main isoforms: MCL1L (anti-apoptotic) and MCL1S (pro-apoptotic).
