MA1-206 detects CXCR1/IL8RA from human samples.
It has been successfully tested in western blot, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry applications.
In western blot, MA1-206 detects CXCR1/IL8RA (human) at an approximate molecular weight of 30 kDa.
Target Information
CXCR1 is a member of the G-protein-coupled receptor family and functions as a receptor for interleukin 8 (IL8).
It binds IL8 with high affinity and transduces signals through a G-protein activated second messenger system.
Knockout studies in mice suggest that CXCR1 inhibits embryonic oligodendrocyte precursor migration in the developing spinal cord.
This gene, IL8RB (another high-affinity IL8 receptor), and IL8RBP (a pseudogene of IL8RB) form a gene cluster in the chromosome region 2q33–q36.
